When the fit is comfortable, we are no longer being stretched. The best culture situation to continually find and put yourself in is one of "Flex". A flex situation is one in which there is much overlap in the key beliefs and values between you and the culture and there are some areas that you need to grow into as well. The growth opportunities are like the sand in the oyster. It is by continuously trying to find your way successful through these not-natural spots for you, that will enable you to expand what you are capable of being with!

Great examples of potential cultural discomforts can be: * the importance placed on results * the importance placed on relationships * level of comfort with conflict * level of direct communication * expectations for drive and ambition * work / life balance * number of moves or years before career promotion * number of locations or groups needed to work in to be promoted * Functional Chimney career paths * Zig-Zagging the norm * formal * informal * hierarchial * collegiate There are many key elements that make up the unwritten rules of how an organization gets things done. My wish for each of you is that you find a culture that honors your core values and provides you with the need to "flex" on at least one dimension for your continued growth and expanded capacity! If by chance you do find yourself in a culture that does not honor your core values and "flexing" to fit in feels like a breach of your integrity, then it is time to "Flee"!

That is the name of our boat and in two plaques on board, that is the definition that we have chosen to describe the experience that my husband and I aspire to create for all who come on board.

Using the Namaste as the venue for the live event for my Coaching for Corporate Business Building Program came naturally for me. My husband's graciousness in supporting the event as our capable captian and co-host came naturally to him as well. The deep connection, caring and support that occured when all of the coaches part of this program had the opportunity to come together and meet each other in person for the first time came naturally as well - no forced script or exercises required!

Post this event, one of the participants sent me a video of Free Hugs in Sondrio, Italy the link for which I will include here. The video concludes with a quote by Oscar Wilde - "For one moment our lives met; our souls touched."

Leaning in and reaching out from our souls so that we can see and connect with the best that we have to give to each other, soul to soul, is exactly what Namaste means to me! My experience is that those who consider the profession of coaching to be their calling know how to do this fully and naturally!

Being in the company of such wonderful and gifted coaches on the Namaste for 30 way-too-short hours, was a gift to me! Thank you to all of you who have joined me to support you in your business building journey and for all of your incredible feedback about your experience in it!

With how quickly it passes, it is all the more important that we mark this fleeting season with powerful and impactful milestones! I am very excited about what I have in stsore for the members of my Your Corporate Success program and the coaches in my Coaching for Corporate Business Building program this month!

Your Corporate Success: Our teleworkshop for this month is coming up in just 2 days and I am so very excited about the content I will be sharing. "Quantum High Performance" is the topic and in this session on the 13th, we will be exploring what it takes to be a High Performer - mind, body, heart and spirit! In addition to introducing the model, we will go deep on the psychology (mind) required to achieve the success and results you desire.

Coaching for Corporate Business Building Program: The content focus for July is "Corporate Culture". A lack of culture fit is blamed for the majority of new hirer failures, especially at senior levels of management. What are the 10 keys to corporate culture and what do you need to know about them to effectively support your clients in their pursuit of career success? What do you also need to know as a coach as you seek a good "fit" with your client companies. And the biggest news in this program is that we will be ending this month with our very special event - two days intensive together on the "Namaste", our 55 foot boat harbored in the beautiful city of Chicago! I cannot wait for this opportunity to connect and "up" the level of relationships amongst us all that will enhance our ability to align and support each other in our pursuit of success!

Also in July, I finally did something that I have been wanting to do for quite a while! So while walking in a forest or trees or floating down a green river surrounded by and mirroring the lush greenery that lines its bed might calm, sooth and call to the spirit of my husband and several very dear and close friends, I have to say it is not what feeds and fuels me.

Set me on a shore or on a boat surrounded by sparkling blue waters with blue skies above and every shade of blue that you can possibly imagine across the horizon, and I can literally feel my soul re-charge!

Just dropping in today to express my deep gratitude for all of the summertime blues that are filling me and my days these past several weeks... and encouraging you to do whatever it is that feeds and fuels you!
